Are you tired of spending hours pointlessly clicking on traffic exchanges? Have you spent good money on ‘credits’ for little or no gain? Do you have a million things that you’d rather do than sit there and click, click, click all day? I know I have!

As an internet marketer I’m always on the lookout for ways of driving traffic to my site and the cheaper the better. But then, I also want results, I want targeted traffic and people who want to view my site.

Over the years I’ve spent hours on traffic exchanges, bought “guaranteed hits” and joined countless traffic programs. Personally I think that with the majority of traffic exchanges, people don’t even look at the adverts that are displayed to them, they just wait for the timer to expire so that they can click to the next advert and get their credit for their own ads.

Click contests and referral contests may be good for the sites own statistics but what good do they do you if someone flips to another web browser window to do something else until the timer expires while your advertisement is supposed to be being displayed?

Then, the other day I came across something really different.

Personally I think that with the majority of traffic exchanges, people don’t even look at the adverts that are displayed to them, they just wait for the timer to expire so that they can click to the next advert and get their credit for their own ads.

It’s called Don’t Touch My Ads. You sign up to their website and write your ad and install a small piece of software on your computer. Then, here’s the really unique bit, every time you STOP clicking, typing or working, another members ad appears on your screen earning you credits to get YOUR AD displayed on someone else’s screen.
As the ads only appear when you’re not working they don’t interrupt your normal activities and you just dismiss the ad when you want to start working again. They can’t help but notice your ad, even if they’ve been working on a word document or something else your ad is still displayed on their screen.

Of course as with all advertising, you need to write an eye catching ‘must act now’ ad to encourage the other users to click through to your site/product.

I’ve only been using this for a couple of days but have already built up nearly 1000 credits and my ad has been displayed 16 times on other users screens.
